Siu Mai

An open-faced steamed dumpling that is easy to make either solo or with a bunch of friends.

Here’s what you need for 20-24 pieces

6 oz shelled, cleaned, chopped up shrimp
7 oz lean ground pork (or ground chicken)
2 oz Chinese mushrooms (soaked, minced)

1/2 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp chicken bouillon powder
1/4 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp white pepper

1 pkg wonton wrap
(optional) red beets (hearts, lips, etc.)
