Have fire extinguisher handy for the entire cooking process and don’t cook in an inclosed or covered area. Don’t do this alone and never leave the turkey in the oil unattended. 1. completely defrost turkey and be sure to remove innards
2. make sure turkey is dry and at room temperature before cooking
3. get oil temperature to 350 degree F
4. slowly submerge turkey into oil
5. cook 3.5 minutes per pound
6. let turkey cool for at least 15 minutes before carving. I do 30 minutes.
7. carve turkey. When slicing the breast meat, cut against the grain
