A chili dish made with turkey is much lighter than beef, but feel free to use any meat you wish. This is a recipe that I have been making for years. I was in the kitchen and looking for something to whip together for a party and I came up with this dish. Everyone loves it, and I hope you do too.

  • 2 Pounds Extra Lean Ground Turkey
  • 1 Can Stewed Tomatoes
  • 1 Can Chili Beans
  • 1 Teaspoon Tabasco
  • 1 Tablespoon Thyme
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 Bag Corn Chips
  • 1 Jar Salsa
  • 1 Pound Mozzarella Cheese, grated

Step 1

Heat a frying pan and place the ground turkey into the pan.

Step 2

Cook until the turkey is no longer pink, then add a can of tomatoes and let simmer for about one minute.

Step 3

Add the chili beans to the mixture and let cook for five minutes.

Step 4

Add the tabasco, salt and thyme to the frying pan, and mix well.

Step 5

Turn on the oven and preheat to 350 degrees.

Step 6

Pour the mixture into a ovensafe container. Sprinkle the corn chips over the mixture.

Step 7

Add the salsa and cheese and put the dish in the oven for about five minutes until the cheese is melted and chips are golden brown.

Step 8

Eat when cooled. I like to eat my dish with sour cream.
