Simple Sourdough Croutons2012-11-29

These are super simple – just sourdough, salt and pepper and some garlic butter. Easy! Why buy croutons when you can make super easy, super delicious ones at home! I already have a crouton recipe on here, but I am using these to go with a roasted tomato and basil soup – they’d be yummy with salad too!
- 1/2 Loaf Sourdough Bread
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Garlic Butter
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 1 Pinch Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Slice up your sourdough bread into crouton sized pieces - removing the crusts (they just don't bake up as evenly)
Toss the sourdough chunks with melted garlic butter - I just used the store bought kind, but you could definitely make your own.
Arrange the croutons in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10-15 minutes, or until they look nice and golden. Enjoy!
