Homemade Pizza

  • 1 Package Dry Yeast
  • 1 Cup Warm Water
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Lukewarm Water
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Medium Onions, diced
  • 28 Ounce Can of Tomatoes
  • 2 Cans Tomato Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 Teaspoon Dry Basil
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Dry Thyme
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Dry Red Wine
  • 2 Teaspoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 Cup Green Peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Onion, sliced
  • 1/3 Cup Green Olives, sliced
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 Cup Pepperoni, sliced
  • 2 Cups Mozzarella, shredded


Step 1

Prepare the dough for the crust. Sprinkle yeast over the water and leave it for 10 minutes, stir to dissolve. Place the flour, sugar and salt into the food processor and process for about 10 seconds. Add the yeast and process about 12 seconds more. put oil into the water, and pour it through the feed tube while the machine is running. Process until the dough forms a ball. Then process for about 1/2 a minute. Cover the dough and let it rest, while you make the Pizza Sauce.

Step 2

Prepare the sauce for the Pizza. Combine all the ingredients except oil into a large pot and simmer uncovered for an hour, stirring from time to time. when cool put into a mason jar, add the oil on top, do not stir. This sauce can be frozen. Yield about 3 cups of sauce.

Step 3

Prepare the toppings for the Pizza. Pizza Sauce, sliced mushrooms, green peppers, pepperoni, onion, olives tomatoes, 2 cups of Mozzarella cheese, or whatever toppings you choose. Set them up in prep bowls and set aside.

Step 4

Assemble the Pizza. Cut the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each one using a rolling pin or your hands, turn the edges and allow to rise for about 20 minutes. Brush the rolled dough with olive oil, spread some sauce, add desired toppings ending with the cheese.

Step 5

Bake on a pizza stone set on the lower rack of the oven. 450 degrees for about 20 minutes and Enjoy!

I have frozen these pizzas all dressed up and unbaked. I just put them in the hot oven, frozen and they are just as delicious.
