The Western European counterpart to sour cream of French origin. Crème fraîche is also found in North America.

Ingredients

  • 1 Litre 35% Cream
  • 1 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1 Whole Lemon, juice only

Method

Step 1

Combine the ingredients. Whisk and let sit for 24 hours at warm room temperature.

Step 2

Refrigerate.

Step 3

Variations: Chipotle: Add 1 tbsp of chopped chipotles Lemon: Add zest and juice of 1 lemon Lime: Add zest and juice of 1 lime Herb: Add 1 tbsp of chopped mint, coriander and basil
