Beef Gravy

This is my favorite Beef Gravy, just wanted to share it with everyone. I started making this a few years ago back home in Montreal, the family love it when on a cold winter day.


  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1/4 Tablespoon Salt
  • 1/4 Tablespoon Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Kitchen Bouquet


Step 1

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk together, making sure to get all visible lumps. Add salt and pepper.

Step 2

Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until mixture starts to turn light brown, be sure to stir constantly.

Step 3

Turn heat to low and slowly add broth, stirring constantly.

Step 4

Add Kitchen Bouquet. Than turn the heat up to medium. Continue stirring until gravy boils and thickens. Serve over Roast Beef, Turkey or Roast Chicken.
