Croutons can easily be made rather than bought… I always make them for my Caesar Salad, but it’s always great to make a huge batch and keep em kicking around.
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1/3 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Loaf Bread (baguette is best), cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
Preheat the oven to 450
Combine the butter and olive oil in a big bowl, toss in your bread till coated.
Sprinkle salt and pepper and cayenne, and then spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake till golden, about 10 minutes.
